It is amazing that Namco still releases updates and patches for this game! The graphics are still very good and the gameplay very fluid. The controls are as good as they can get on a touchscreen device. Thank you Namco, for still supporting this master peace of fighting games! The only thing that is missing, is multiplayer.

Very good render. However, disatisfied that they aint got no voice for the character. Some characters are locked too. Still definitly a buy, though they should put it 9,99 instead.

The game is definitely an excellent port, with great visuals and easy controls. But theres just not enough content that makes this game worth the price it is. If I were you, Id wait for a sale. If they added local and online multiplayer, translate what the characters are saying, or add more content later on, then I would say go and buy it right away.

SoulCalibur for iOS is a hot app. Great controls and definitely feels like the SoulCalibur of old. However, the fact that it does not have multiplayer is unforgivable, especially given the premium price. Should it get a multiplayer update in the future, I will increase my review to have this game scored at 5/5.

The games feels great and perform well on iPad 2. Missing the English voices and some sort of multiplayer. For $12 it feels like a rip off. Maybe $6.99. I would wait to its on sale for a lower price.

Decent game, but not worth the 12 bucks. I only bought I because I was curious and in that respect I was let down. Would be far more satisfied if it had cost 6.99 like its actually worth.

Now its time for TEKKEN 6!!!! If Soul Calibur and Tekken Bowl made it to the iOS platform then TEKKEN series should be as good as Soul Calibur!! Bring it on!!!! If you like Soul Calibur on console better BUY this game!!!

Excellent port of the game! Nice graphics and controls. Perhaps a bit too expensive for the content... But still a great game!

Absolutely amazing app. Definitely true to the Dreamcast original. Visuals are top notch, and touch controls work surprisingly well. A must buy if youre a fan of the series. Especially to get pumped for soul calibur 5 :D

It doesnt have 19 characters as advertised. It only has 10 characters!!

The graphics are equal or better than the Dreamcast version. It plays and looks just like the original. Pros: All characters are here Great porting job Generally runs smoothly on iPhone 4 Cons: No local or online multiplayer Missing Adventure/mission mode Needs more control options - unable to use thumb to hit more than one button. Could be fixed by allowing more than one custom button. Missing subtitles during cutscenes Slowdown during Cervantes and Inferno stage on iPhone 4 Its hard to recommend this app at its current price since there so much missing. Will update to $5 stars if all multiplayer (local AND online) and Dreamcast modes, plus additional custom buttons are added.

I have no problem with this game I think it was greatly made... The graphics are really nice and the gameplay is smooth with the controls working pretty well... Some more content would be nice like the story mode missions considering the price.. No multiplayer but I could care less for that Im just glad it plays smooth and the controls are good unlock the rest of the characters by beating the end boss with the ones you have.. Im liking this better then street fighter 4... Well done thx for making it for the iOS

How are we supposed to do A+B, A+G, B+G, A+K, etc... We need an update for more custom buttons and I will give 5 stars.

The port of the game is pretty good, except for some obvious lag/frame rate issues on more graphically intense moves, but thats not a problem because the controls are so bad you cant do anything but mash buttons anyway. Its next to impossible to accurately execute any moves with A+B, etc etc. If youre a seasoned SC player like myself, this becomes extremely frustrating very quickly.

Having long since shelved my Dreamcast whos sole purpose was for Soul Cslibur I was excited to find that Namco had ported it to iOS. Now I can play SC anywhere! Yes, playing on phone has issues. By customizing the control layout I am starting to be able to do some multi button combo moves again. The graphics and sound are near identical. So overall Im happy though I feel taken advantage of on the pricing. THE LACK OF ICADE SUPPORT WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING! PLEASE ADD ICADE SUPPORT!
